Two Customers Sues Apple For Selling Refurbished iPhone As A New iPhone

Earlier this week we found that Apple is again in trouble with some class lawsuits from at least 27,000 people from the South Korea, and now this morning it is reported that two separate lawsuits also filled in China by two people against the Apple’s for selling refurbished iPhone to customer as a new device in the multiple Apple Stores in Beijing. The case against Apple is lead by the well known China’s consumer right lawyer Wang Hai, the lawsuit is based on the two person complain filling against the Apple in Beijing’s local court, according to the customers they purchased new iPhone from the Apple Stores in Beijing and pays the complete price of the device, as Apple normally offers in China. But in the box they found that an Apple Store worker has gave them the refurbished models of iPhone as a new iPhone. The users discovered this fraud when he/she check for the manufacturer warranty of the product, which seems to be expires in less than a year. One of the customers also tried to reach out the Apple Store and claimed that “it’s cheating to sell refurbished iPhone as a new iPhone” and on this Apple Store staff tries to trick the customer by expanding its warranty.  But  it’s not the first time, as noted by the lawyer Wang Hai, this thing also happens in the past, as far as more than four users has purchased iPhone as a new iPhone but at end they found they got a refurbished model of iPhone.

Wang Hai, also said in its interview “It’ll be discrimination against Chinese consumers if the case turns out to be true as refurbished cellphones are also sold in other countries, but at a cheaper price.” As we said you before that four other customers also reported the same case, but till the time of writing there is no other case filed against Apple for selling refurbished iPhone as a new iPhone.
