Earlier this week, we come across to the OnLive, Inc at the CES 2012 with an announcement of their new service / application for iPad users who let you use complete Windows 7 virtualization, along with Microsoft Office integrated support for the iPad. The service itself works as a streaming of data from the server, and bases on different plans offered by OnLive to their service, including the free plan for OnLive Desktop.
The new OnLive Desktop app for the iPad users let you access the Office completely right from your Apple’s tablet, and come as the best alternative to iCloud backup with Apple’s provided Notes, Numbers and Keynotes application. It allows users to work fully on Microsoft Office, and as well as allow them to store their developed data on the OnLive servers to access it later.
However, the company has today officially announced its application for the general public in the Apple’s App Store for the iPad users for free of cost, but the application has in-app subscription for the services to virtually access the OnLive Desktop. The servers of OnLive host the virtualization of Windows 7 with fully support of Microsoft Office and allow users to make documents, presentations, and sheets right on the tablet with Office flavor.
The OnLive Desktop service comes in different price plans, along with free service, and at the moment company holds the sign-up of new users, as the device gets a lot of attention from the users at CES floor. Obviously, the premium users have more priority to them over free users.
