Few minutes back you just read about the iPad 3 Codename found in iOS 5. After the finding of the new codename of iPad 3 in iOS 5, we are now hearing that iPad 3 will get 2048×1536 resolution display which is double the retina display and pretty awesome resolution. Like 2012 is the year of iPad 2, so the year 2013 will be the year of iPad 3. Now Display Search Analyst, Richard Shim reports to CNet that Apple has started to produce the display for iPad 3 with the resolution of 2048×1536.
“It’s happening–QXGA, 2048×1536. Panel production has started [for the next-generation iPad]. There’s three suppliers,” Richard Shim, an analyst at DisplaySearch, said in an interview today. Shim confirmed other reports that cite three companies, Samsung, Sharp, and LGD.
Previous reports by Display Search, the research firm specifically focused on the display market and its related industries. More evidence of the 2048×1536 resolution was found in iOS 5 previously. Till now there is no specific ETA for the release of iPad 3 but the rumors are pointing towards the launch of iPad 3 in the first half of 2013.
