Apple’s 2011 “App of the Year” Instgram Gets An Overhaul Update

Instagram is kinda social network application debuted for iOS. This networking app allows you to capture pictures of the occasions and other fun kinda pics, edit them and share them on Facebook, Twitter and other major social networking sites. Instagram, in an homage to both the Kodak Instamatic and Polaroid cameras, confines photos into a square shape. This is in contrast to the 4:3 aspect ratio normally used by the iOS device cameras. Instagram was unveiled on 6th October, 2011.

The San-Francisco company is working on the Android version of Instagram, as reported before. Instagram has been updated for iOS with new filters and major overhaul user interface.

New Feature: Lux

We’ve given you a new way to instantly transform the look and feel of your photos. In just one tap, Lux works its magic by making your photos more vibrant and bringing out details you couldn’t see before. Use it with a filter or without.

New Filter: Sierra

We’ve added a new filter!

Simplified + Improved UI

We’ve simplified the look of Instagram. The improved header and menu buttons in this release are the first steps towards making it easier to understand and interact with our app.

Tappable Notifications

Now, when you tap on an Instagram notification in the iOS Notification Center, you’re brought directly to the relevant photo, comment or user profile page in the app.
