White iPod Touch To Debut In October With Minor Changes

Apple got a press conference coming up a head in few weeks. The date leaked suggested the press conference to be held on October 5th 2011. In this press conference Apple is expected to announce iOS 5 and iPhone 5. This time the reports are claiming that the long rumored White iPod Touch might also be announced by Apple on the same day.

If you are a regular reader at FreakGeeks, so you might have gone through the news about the White iPod Touch surface leaked. The minor changes were expected to be implementing Apple A5 chip in White iPod Touch, which is the next Chip to be used by Apple.

Today macrumors confirms that:

MacRumors has received information indicating that the next iPod touch revision will be a very minor change, with the primary addition being the introduction of a new white model. Only minor changes are expected for the existing hardware, with the addition of an oleophobic coating for the display and a revised ambient light sensor seemingly being the main differences. Otherwise, we expect the models to be nearly identical to the current fourth-generation iPod touch model.

The minor changes might also include the 3G support which was rumored few months back. We might see an iPod Touch with 3G support.
