Password Saved, Indian Microsoft Store Hacked

by Absar Abdul Rahman - on Feb 13th 2012 - No Comments

After Sony, It’s Microsoft. Microsoft’s India store got hacked today by some Chinese team “Evil Shadow Team” but I can say either the hacker is brave or mad. I think he is brace he published the image in which the email address is provided and when you will search it on Facebook you will get him out.

0x.oday@gmail.com

WPSauce claimed that the hacker got the password saved in the plain text. After the hacking went live, Microsoft took over the server and now its offline. The file which uploaded on the server was ‘evil.html’ which shows “Unsafe system will be baptized”. The password got saved by the hackers and were shown by HackTeach afterwards.

There was no reason prescribed by the hacker.. The last major hack which we saw on air was of the Sony in which the PlayStation Network was hacked and there passwords at that time were saved too. The profile of the hacker is here and for the research thanks to Dheeraj.

GeoHot Is Back On Scene, Quits His Job At Facebook

by Hamza Tariq - on Jan 25th 2012 - No Comments

If you have been there since the jailbreaks actually start arriving in the market, you should know about the hacker/guy with name “GeoHot”, the ultimate ruler of the jailbreaking and the person who firstly, jailbreak the iPhone, back in 2008 and make the jailbreak tool live for the rest of hackers to play with their stylish new devices. Actually, GeoHot was the person behind the birth of jailbreaking for the iPhone and iPods, all hackers come after his first tool. However, the hacker left the community from a couple of months, and tried its luck recently with jailbreaking the Sony’s PlayStation 3 console. GeoHot aka George Hotz also did same with Sony’s console jailbreak, and later found itself in trouble.

In the last year, we heard much news from the hacker, and Sony regarding their breakdown against the GeoHot for developing the Sony’s PlayStation 3 console jailbreak, and later to publish the tool. The hacker had sued by Sony for all the hacking stuff, and been dragged to court hearing, but the matter quickly settled down before the strict ruling of the jury against a hacker. The hacker later joined Facebook as an unknown position, but according to the latest report, he left out the position and moved on! So where is he now?

Well, there is no clear statement from the hacker, but according to the Business Insider news, the famous hacker got spotted at the hackthon where he competed with other hacker kids on developing an app. However, he didn’t win the competition and lost the project in the hands of high school kids.

But that’s not important. The important is, where is he now, and what type of work is he doing these days?  According to our guess, GeoHot is back now in the scene, as Apple has already fixed its bootroom limera1n exploit with the launch of iPhone 4S, and now maybe he has been working to discover more powerful exploits for the iOS devices, and as we all know jailbreaking iPhone is now safe!

Sony Introducing Unlimited Music Service On iOS Devices

by Hamza Tariq - on Jan 13th 2012 - No Comments

In recent years, Apple had created a dynamic wall of restrictions on its platform to protect iTunes monopoly over Music in iOS devices, and prevented the third party music stores to land on iOS platforms especially to provide the subscription base offers on Apple devices. However, last year, Apple relaxes its policy and allows third party stores to land on App Store with offers to iOS devices users. It appears that with the start of New Year, Sony has planned to hit the iOS devices with its new app and subscription model to provide music on devices.

Sony has announced that they are soon launching Sony’s Music Unlimited service to the iOS device owner, on the monthly subscription plans, starting from $4 to $10/ a month. Users who subscribe to the service will be able to stream music on their iPods, iPhones and iPads, sometime in this year. Sony has planned to introduce something what is already available in the market for the iOS users, but now wants to rule over other parties with their own rights on the music. Another report suggested that Sony has planned internally to discard the iTunes contract over distributing the content to iOS devices, and will bind users to use their apps on devices to access Sony Music.

The logic behind the Unlimited Service launches for the iOS devices, is to attract users about the future gadgets from Sony, as well as comes directly to challenge the iTunes in the market. However, Apple has already a big control on its platform with its new iCloud, and iTunes in the cloud services which provides enough features to the iOS users. iCloud on iTunes has entirely changed the way people uses to store their music on devices; it provides mind boggling backup of music along with iTunes Match service.

Is Sony TV To Come With Installed OS X Lion?

by Hamza Tariq - on Aug 24th 2011 - No Comments

Well there is nothing such like thing that we have said above in the title of the post, but a quick glance at the below picture of the box might fool you, and forced to thinking so, there is no chance of this happened that Sony to power its TV with Apple’s Mac OS X Lion, but as we have said first look might fool you, because Sony has been using Apple’s default wallpaper of OS X Lion in their TV box as the background image of the device EX621 BRAVIA TV.

We don’t know how it’s happen, but we are guessing that someone at Sony – the guy who holds the charge of printing boxes for device has done this mess. It seems that Sony has already doctored the picture by zooming in slightly and changing the angle of the galaxy.

The box was spotted at Costco by an eagle-eyed 9to5 Mac reader.
