Apple Cutting The Support For Xserve’s In Mac OS X Lion

by Hamza Tariq - on Jun 28th 2011 - No Comments

Two weeks ago Apple released the Mac OS X 10.6.8 and named it as an important update because without it no one can update its OS version to the upcoming next generation OS X Lion, so after the release we have heard from several users that they are facing many difficulties in using this OS X, many reports their Mac’s performance almost dead after updating to it. On the other hand we have seen a rising thread in Apple Support Community website, which reveals that large number of users are facing these issues specially, those users who running Mac OS X Server, there is a process in the OS X dubbed “hwmond”, which eats large amount of processing power of your Mac. Some user says the process takes up to 100% of the Xserve’s CPU.

Users reporting this issue start occurring after updating to the Apple’s latest released combo update of Mac OS X last week, The issue reportedly applies to a range of Xserve hardware, while one user, “jjasper,” said the problem does not appear on a Mac mini Server.  Apple announced late last year that it would discontinue its Xserve line of rack-mount servers. As promised, the hardware is no longer available to purchase, and prospective buyers are encouraged to run a Mac Pro or Mac mini instead.

It seems that Apple Cutting the hardware support of Xserve’s in its upcoming next generation Mac OS X Lion, because many people start facing issues on the delta update of Mac OS X 10.6.8

iMessage App For Mac OS X Concept Shown In Video

by Daudi - on Jun 24th 2011 - No Comments

The name iMessage must be familiar to you. If not so we will tell you, iMessage is the new Messaging System which is to be implemented by Apple in iOS 5 and it is currently available in iOS 5 beta 1 which is available for Developers only. iMessage will be a totally new messaging system for iOS with a lot of new features like Delivery reports, send Pictures, Videos and etc.

There is a possibility that Apple may introduce stand alone package for iMessage in MAC Appstore later on to integrate it with iOS 5. Chances are high because in past Apple did the same thing with Facetime for iPhone 4, that they putted it on MAC Appstore for 0.99$ for MAC users.

Jan-Michael Cart creator of iOS 5 concepts posted another concept of his regarding iMessage for MAC OS X Lion which is released today.

Check out he Concept Video:

Well the video is really awesome and the concept shown in the video is not bad. Remember iMessage will only be available in iOS 5 for iPhone,iPod, and iPad, but some source code strings found in MAC OS X Lion shows that Apple might be working on some desktop messaging system later this year.
