The cat and mouse game is going wider and wider. Apple is having some new competitors who are interested in banning Apple products at different places. If you think that it is Samsung once again so you are wrong. This time we got a new name called Motorola. This time Samsung had some rest while Motorola was in action.
Previously it was Samsung VS Apple and now Motorola VS Apple. Today Bloomberg reported that Apple had pulled off its all 3G technology containing devices from the German Online Store because Motorola Won the 3G GPRS Patent against Apple. The devices removed were iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, and iPad 2 WIFI+ 3G. The iPhone 4S was left behind. It was not removed. These all removed devices are available in Apple’s official Store and authorized Resellers.
“While some iPad and iPhone models are not available through Apple’s online store in Germany right now, customers should have no problem finding them at one of our retail stores or an authorized reseller,” [Apple spokesman Alan] Hely said.
Apple is pleasing the decision made by the Court and it is looking forward to remove the 3G capable Devices from its Online German Store. It is also believed that Motorola is planning to put a ban on Apple’s iCloud services. Motorola can only do so if they can post a $132 million bond in favor of them self to stay protected in case they lose the case.
Now it looks like the small companies have also started to play blind folds and big games. This smart move idea must be coming to them after the battle between Samsung and Apple. Some one have said it right that “No pain, No game”. So Apple should be ready to face these sort of patent lawsuites in near future.
Now the news are claiming that Apple has been allowed to put their 3G Devices back to the shelve which were taken off for some hours because the Lawsuit Motorola won was suspended few months ago.
Apple has been granted a suspension of the German injunction against 3G-enabled iOS devices, with the iPad WiFi + 3G, iPhone 4 and other gadgets back on sale through the company’s online store. ”All iPad and iPhone models will be back on sale through Apple’s online store in Germany shortly” the company told us in a statement. “Apple appealed this ruling because Motorola repeatedly refuses to license this patent to Apple on reasonable terms, despite having declared it an industry standard patent seven years ago.”
So all the 3G GPRS iDevices removed from the online store will be coming back really soon. Tough luck Motorola.
