by Hamza Tariq - on Apr 21st 2012 - No Comments

Sometime ago, the iPhone 4S and iPad 2 Jailbreak was released in the public for the iOS 5.0.1, but the tool was releases by the Chronic Dev-Team aka DreamTeam, and the iPhone-DevTeam helped them in testing and completely over-rooting the devices with exploits, but after a couple of months. The iPhone DevTeam has just released an update to its Redsn0w jailbreak tool with the couple of new features and the support for the iPad 2 and iPhone 4S Untethered Jailbreak On iOS 5.0.1. However, they already released the initial tool in public, but if you remember that was the CLI version of the jailbreak tool that simply loads the whole Corona and other exploits on iPad 2 and iPhone 4S.

Redsn0w 0.9.10b7 is just released in the public by iPhone DevTeam with a support to jailbreak the iPhone 4S , iPad 2 on iOS 5.0.1, with an extra ability to save the SHSH blobs and other APTickets while patching the kernels for the Corona 5.0.1 jailbreak exploit. The new Redsn0w features don’t end here, as they now carry more features such as automatically acquiring blobs, and stitch them while creating custom IPSW. The acquired SHSH blobs will be also uploaded to Cydia Servers for the future usage.

Jailbreak iPhone 4S / iPad 2 With Redsn0w

It is surely a great update for the users with old-generation devices, and as well as for the new-generation devices, especially makes the jailbreak process more user-friendly and less confusing for the beginner users who are new to the jailbreak scene with Redsn0w. I guess most of the current iOS users are not aware of the PwnageTool aka stone age tool, which requires more details from third-party developers for jailbreaking a single iOS device. However, now we have new tools like the Redsn0w with updated UI, and options for the users. The Redsn0w 0.9.10b7 is available to download for both Windows & Mac OS, and can easily jailbreak your device without updating its firmware version.

On the other hand, the Chronic DevTeam member, Pod2g claims on the Twitter that he has finally discovered the complete exploits to make another untethered jailbreak for an iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch devices on the latest released iOS 5.1. The iOS 5.1 was released along with the new iPad, and the new iPad appears to be similar to iPad 2 in processor level, and the iPhone hackers claimed that the device could be also the jailbreak with the iPad 2 and iPhone 4S level exploits. The new Pod2g exploit is said to be work on all current and next-generation devices on the iOS 5.1 with maximum compatibility over their processors.

Why Your New iPad Heats Up? 10 Degrees (F) Hotter than iPad 2

by Hamza Tariq - on Mar 20th 2012 - No Comments

Yesterday we reported you that a specific number of users with the new iPad facing an overheating issue on their new iPad device on the certain part and edges of the new device. We believe the normal heat up caused due to continuously usage of the device for couple of hours, but the users reported their devices become extremely hot and smelling like something is burning in their room. However, it is known to us that the new iPad carries 70% larger battery, Retina Display and the 4G LTE networking chip that may cause this heat issue on the new iPad, and obviously, Apple is known to this fact. Well, there are still no words from on this issue.

Users across the world with the new iPad start flooding up the new Apple’s support forum with the same issue, and waiting for the Apple’s recommendation and fix to their devices. In the meantime, someone with free times comes with a Thermal imaging of the new iPad along with iPad 2 comparisons under a thermal lens to know the heat difference between both devices.  The unique thermal imaging test reveals that the new third-generation iPad runs around 10° Fahrenheit warmer than the iPad 2, but it doesn’t mean to start worrying about the device.

Dutch website Tweakers.net publishes the thermal imaging test result today in the morning, after the significant rise in the iPad 3 heat up rumors. The site has run the GLBenchmark test for five minutes on both the new iPad and the iPad 2 to clearly ensure that both devices work at their peak performance level and produce the real results, and then they used an infrared camera to capture the temperature differences between both devices.

According to the Tweakers thermal imaging results, the new iPad reached 92.5° Fahrenheit while in use, which the iPad 2 only reached 83° Fahrenheit. However, it is worth note that the device work well even with this additional heat on the board, and as well as still stay within the Apple’s specified operating temperatures for the devices, which are reportedly 32° to 95° Fahrenheit.

So don’t worry about your new device, it won’t be going to be burst in your hands or melt you with its heats! Basically, the new iPad heats more than iPad 2 because it carries the quad-core GPU chip that heats on the usage of 3D graphics, and games on the device. So if you play lots of games on your iPad with high resolution graphics, it will become warmer than normal usage.

The news surprised everyone for the quick progress he achieved.

Well, there are no words from the i0n1c on the contribution of his discovered iOS 5.1 jailbreak exploit to jailbreaking community. We hope that he will submit his new founded exploit to iPhone Dev Team or some Chronic DevTeam for the final time rounding of the exploit. However, we believe that iOS Jailbreak hackers going to stay for the iPad 3 launch, and then they will release new exploit in the public to jailbreak newer and older generation devices on the latest iOS 5.1 firmware.
