WWDC 2012 Is Announced, Why WWDC 2012 Is Important?

by Hamza Tariq - on Apr 26th 2012 - No Comments

Finally, after a couple of days narrow talks, we have an announcement from Apple regarding the upcoming WWDC 2012 event. The developers around the world are apparently dying to get information regarding the event, and Apple announced the event to be happening on June 11th, 2012 at San Francisco. The conference will take from June 11th-15th in San Francisco, where Apple mostly hosts its event for announcements and media calls.

WWDC 2012 is one of the most awaited events in Apple’s market, as numerous analysts, reporters, developers from iOS and Mac OS X platform were waiting for the event to learn more about the products, and to know about the upcoming software and hardware updates from Apple to its products for the year. Apple usually hosts WWDC 2012 to announce new iPhone, but last year the Cupertino Company decided to skip the iPhone launch on the event, and reportedly host the stand-alone event for the iPhone 4S launch, but this year as it is rumored Apple will again not be going to announce or preview anything related to hardware, instead the Company will focus on bringing OS X Mountain Lion, and iOS 6 into the market with a developer builds.

WWDC2012
Apple is reportedly rumored to be releasing the very first beta of iOS 6 at the event to developers, means the user with latest generation devices, and a legal developer account at Apple’s database.  Interestingly, it was also reported that the tickets for WWDC 2012 was sold within two hours of announcement, and the developers who missed the chance to reserve one for them, have to pay much more than an original amount of the ticket, as the WWDC 2012 ticket hits the eBay.

According to us, there are couples of things that Apple may announce or preview at the WWDC 2012 to developers and media for this year. We have learned from the sources that there will not be a single word about the iPhone 5 launch, and release, as we all know Apple is popular for its tight lips, and they will not announce anything right before the official announcement of the product. However, there are chances that we will listen to some rumors about the presence of a beta iPhone 5 devices in the hands of high profile VP’s  We will try our best to cover the event  live and provide you all latest updates.

Tim Cook’s Talk At Goldman Sachs Technology and Internet Conference

by Absar Abdul Rahman - on Feb 15th 2012 - No Comments

Well at the Goldman Sachs Technology and Internet Conference Tim Cook revealed many great things about Apple in which he talked about six things point wise one on

  1. Apples Labor Chain
  2. iPad
  3. iPhone ‘Decent Quarter’
  4. iCloud
  5. Apple TV
  6. Siri

Apple Labor Chain

Well we have already talked about Apples labor chain where Cook said that

The first thing that I would want everyone to know is that Apple takes working conditions very, very seriously. And we have for a very long time. Whether workers are in Europe, or in Asia, or the United States, we care about every worker. I’ve spent a lot of time in factories personally… Many of our top managers and executives visit our factories on a regular basis. And we have hundreds of employees that are based there full time. So we are very closely connected to the production process…

…In terms of problems we are working to fix, you can read the details on our website, but I would tell you that no one in our industry is doing more to improving working conditions than Apple. We are constantly auditing facilities, going deep into the supply chain, looking for problems, finding problems, and fixing problems. And we report everything, because we believe that transparency is so very important in this area.

iPad

After this when he came on iPad to talk every one was panic of the iPad 3 to reveal, well it wouldn’t have happen actually he signed it though. He claimed that he spends most of his time at iPad which is actually 90% of my concentration is on iPad’s business. He beleives that the tablets market is in Apples hand already, after looking at the sales of iPad they are on to it.

People at the end of the day, they want the great product… I think they’ll [Amazon] will sell a lot of units. Our customers are not going to be satisfied with a limited-function product… as long as people invent their own stuff, I love competition.

iPhone ‘Decent Quarter’

Well on iPhone, Apple’s at boom. Cook reported that they have looked a decent quarter of iPhone sales of 37 million iPhone’s. They also believe that till 2015 they will have 1 billion iPhone’s sold. He said that most of the iPhone users are from China and Brazil where as an increment is from the Africa and Middle East. As a Middle Eastern resident after BlackBerry, iPhone is the only mobile phone seen on every second hand which is quite fascinating. The revenue here increased from $1.4 billion to $22 billion from 2007 to 2011.

iCloud

Tim Cook at Goldman Sachs Technology and Internet Conference claimed 100 million users using iCloud right now which is a fantastic number. iCloud one of the iOS 5 feature is really heavy now used by millions. It uploads a picture captures, music downloaded and passes it on to the other iCloud devices and it works perfectly. Cook didn’t talk about much iCloud at Goldman Sachs Technology and Internet Conference.

Apple TV

Tim Cook reported that now Apple has to take the television business serious. Who don’t have an Apple TV should get one….

If you don’t have one, you should go out and get one… It’s a really cool product…The reason we call it a hobby is because we don’t want to send a message to you or our shareholders that we think the market for it is the size of our other businesses.

Siri

I guess he’s alone or something… He talked about Siri and said that he is in love with a beta product and he never believed it.

I never felt like I couldn’t live without a beta product before.

Well that’s not an end we will get more by Apple, the products which people love and according to the rumors thr iPad 3 event will take place on March 7, so be ready the first quarter is going to finish too.

Bulletin Adds Notification Center To Lock Screen – IntelliScreenX Alternative

by Hamza Tariq - on Feb 11th 2012 - No Comments

Ever since the Apple has rolled out the new iOS 5.0 later last year before the iPhone 4S launch, the iOS 5 notification center was the biggest and great implementation in the iOS platform, which allow users to quickly give a look at their notifications with a single finger drop down. However, the iOS 5 notification center appears to be the most interesting place for the jailbreak developers, and many developers have released coupled of different tweaks and applications targeting the iOS 5 Notification Center. Well, the iOS 5 notification center integration comes up with a little restriction not to be popped up on the device screen while in the lock status.

The limit is good at one’s view as it provides some decent security to the iOS 5 users, but still there is large room of users who want the iOS 5 notification center on lock screen revealing all their notification details to anyone who have only a physical access to your device not virtually. To bring iOS 5 Notifications on the lock screen there was a only method is “IntelliScreenX” jailbreak tweak.  The tweak costs $10 in Cydia Store, but it appears to be a bit costly thing for the users. Here comes the new tweak named “Bulletin” that is said to be the amazing and best tweak for the iOS 5 users, and provides all the same features to IntelliScreenX within a cool price tag.

Bulletin is another tool landed in the Cydia Store, to bring the iOS 5 Notification Center on the lock screen, and as well as provides you tools to customize the look of iOS 5 Notification Center within a single tweak. It means it’s a bundle kind of tweak which carries different tools to enhance the iOS 5 interface. Bulletin is works flawlessly on all the devices without messing with any other tweak and application on your device. Bulletin is available in Cydia Store for $0.99, which appears to be a good price tag for such a kind of tweak.
