Jailbreakme 3.0 Might Not Be Stable Due To Poorly Tested Kernel Drivers

by Daudi - on Jul 6th 2011 - No Comments

The clock is ticking like a dead time bomb and we are waiting for the Tweet from @Comex that the Jilbreakme 3.0 is released Finally.

Before we could hear that news from Comex, Saurik the Devloper behind Cydia Tweeted that:

(In fact, @comex is in /such/ a hurry that his new jailbreak will have a poorly tested kernel driver in it. :( I’d wait a week to use it…)

The Kernel Drivers which helps you in Jailbreak not yet properly tested by @Comex and he is in so hurry that he is not going to add the support for iOS 4.3.1 and iOS 4.3.2, He said people to update to iOS 4.3.3. This is all because the Jailbreak by Comex was leaked Twice before it was leaked. That is why he is in a hurry to make it public before it gets more leaked.

So just wait for the right Time and proper Jailbreak to be released by Comex and dont go for the Leaks because they are in the Beta testing phase and they can scrw your iDevice.

In the end don’t forget to save your SHSH Blobs.

REBEL SIM iPhone 4 Unlock Mystery Comes to an END

by Daudi - on May 6th 2011 - 12 Comments

Well finally the game of Rebel SIM iPhone 4 Unlocking comes to an end. Special thanks to Adrian Pop for helping us and taking out his precious time and sending us some info and the pics of the Rebel SIM Card.

The day before we reported that the Rebel SIM is fake and provided some proof for it. We didn’t miss anything about the Rebel SIM Card. Rebel people claimed that it is just plug and play and they showed some video of it in action. But the way it works is totally different from the way it is posted on the web of their that how it works.

First we would like to show some proof that it really works.

This is what the user has to say about the SIM:

I live in romania, my carrier is Orange Romania. My i4 is locked in O2 UK. I preserved baseband from 4.1 (02.10.04). Very hard and very tricky to make it work, but at least you only have to dial 112 and hang up IMMEDIATELY, you don’t have to wait for connection a.k.a Gevey SIM. Hope this helps.

If you have to dial 112 then why go for Rebel? Even the user guide provided by Rebel SIM also states that:

How To use for all 2G Network simcards and %60 of 2G/3G & 3G only network simcards.
Preparing to power on your iphone for the first time with Rebel Micro simcards
1 – insert all together (rebel micro sim card + your provider sim + sim tray) into your powered
OFF iphone 4 and make a small cut on your operator simcard so your sim can fit in the tray we
sent you.
2 – power on your iphone…
3 – wait for the network to come…
4 – Now Enable Data Roaming and that’s it… you have your 3g/2g network and data connection
and enter APN settings if data does not work for you as you need to enter your networks
settings.

The above statement is the same as posted on their web, but none have reported that if the SIM works this way. Few of the people who used it reported the way present below worked for them.

How Use for 2G/3G & 3G Only Simcards if you dont get Auto Network Detection
Preparing to power on your iphone for the first time with Rebel Micro simcards
1 – insert all together (rebel micro sim card + your provider sim + sim tray) into your powered
OFF iphone 4 and make a small cut on your operator simcard so your sim can fit in the tray we
sent you.
2 – power on your iphone… wait for 1 signal bar to appear but not less than 10 seconds after
your phone fully boot and do not rush here and take your time till the phone is responsice and
if the phone is operating slow then wait till all the user interface is functioning without lags.
3 – go to dial pad and make a call to 112 and end right away by pressing BIG RED ‘END call’
button as soon as it will appear on your screen.
Note we are not making a call that is going to connect.

You can Download the whole User Manual from here.

If you want to call at 112 in Rebel so why not to go for Gevey SIM better than Rebel SIM. Less painful and easy to use.

So at the end of the day Rebel SIM really works but to make it wok is a very painful method and some ninja skills required. The choice is yours.Do it easy way bu Gevey or do the Hard way by Rebel.

iPad 2 Jailbreak Demoed On Video, Looks Fake or Real?

by Daudi - on Apr 26th 2011 - 4 Comments

Well what you heard is right not wrong. We came across a new rumor which has started to lighten up. iPad 2 is Jailborken on iOS 4.3.2 and it is demoed on video. The person who claims to jailbreak iPad 2 is some French and it is not clear whether the Video is a Faker or real. Below is the first Video Demoed by him.

Video:

Jailbreak iPad 2 untethered by me : My name is ” d0nfynx”

He claims to perform an Untethered Jailbreak and he never restarted his iPad 2 and there are some cuts in the Video. Still the proof is not clear, so he demoed another video.

Video:

Seriously a big faker. Don’t ever believe him. He didn’t showed the Loader App opening in the second video and it was already opened. So it is a full Photoshop work.

This guy claiming to Jailbreak iPad 2 Untethered is 100% Fake till now according to his videos and he is not any official member of the Dev Team or the Chronic Dev Team. So please don’t be fooled around with these type of Fakers who claim to perform a Jailbreak.

No words are said on the official release or if they have found the iPad 2 Jailbreak yet or not.

How to Enable MT Gestures Updated Version [Guide]

by Daudi - on Apr 10th 2011 - No Comments

Today MT Gestures Tweak was updated to 1.1 and some bugs were fixed and the support from Winterboad.app was removed. Like previously we told you that you need to enable them via Winterboard.app. Now you don’t have to do that way.

This time the method will be a little complicated. So before following the guide think twice that do you really want the MT Gestures? If the answer comes yes so proceed further and follow the guide.

You will need a PC/MAC to carry on.

Steps to Follow:

Step#1:

Download iFunbox/Cyberduck

Download iFile from Cydia

Some basic Knowledge of SSH is needed.

You need to be Jailbroken on you iDevice.

Step#2:

Now Download MT Gestures from Cydia it is free.

When downloaded proceed next and open iFunbox and Navigate to this Location

/Applications/Settings.app

And make a Backup of these 2 files on your PC first.

Now Copy the Two Files named as General.plist and Settings.plist to the Backup folder located on

/var/mobile/Library/MTGestures/Backup

Step#3:

Now take the Settings.plist and General.plist from the Patched folder located on

/var/mobile/Library/MTGestures/Patched

and go back to the

/Application/Settings.appp and paste them there (You should be prompted to owerwrite the existing files. Allow the files to be overwritten)

Step#4:

Once done with this relax you mind and open iFile which you downloaded from Cydia and Edit some core files.

*But before Editing them make a back up of the Core files by going to :

/System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app

The files you need to Backup are:

N90AP.plist (for iPhone4)

N88AP.plist (for iPhone 3GS)

N81AP.plist (iPod Touch 4)

N18Ap.plist (for iPod Touch 3G)

Step#5:

Now open iFile and edit the above file which you saved as a Backup. You can do via iFunbox / Cyberduck.

Open the N88A.plist with note pad or any plist Editor for you PC or MAC.

Now you will have to add this line.

<Key>SBUseSyestemGestures</Key>

<true/>

What i did was copied the code into Microsoft Word and Added the line from there. So it is up to you.

Step#6:

Now save the File which is N88A.plist in the same location and if it asks to overwrite do it.

Once you have followed the whole procedures you need to re spring your device. Once your device has finished re-springing, open your settings,at the top there should be a new toggle called Multi Tasking-Gesture. Set it to on. Now enjoy the Gestures.

Thats it you are done. If you face any problems and cannot understand any thing, so feel free to contact me on Facebook page.

iPad Baseband 6.15.00 Will be Downgraded to 5.13.02 to Fix GPS on iPhone 3G/ 3GS [Confirmed]

by Daudi - on Apr 10th 2011 - No Comments

Some time back we told you that iPad baseband downgrade is coming soon. That Soon never came and we all are stuck on iPad baseband which is 6.15.00 and Unlocked on iPhone 3G and 3GS. When we updated it Redsn0w said a big warning that you think twice before doing it. Once done there is no way back to old baseband.

Till now we all are stuck with  a hope that the Baseband will be downgraded as we got no GPS on iPad baseband 6.15.00. Some of those who were smart stayed on old baseband 5.12.02 and 5.13.02 and waited for Snowbreeze and PWNAGE Tool to get updated to Preserve the baseband.

Some people are on iOS 4.3.1 on iPhone 3GS without the iPad baseband and waiting for the Unlock for the new baseband which is 5.16.02 should know that no Unlock will come for the new Baseband.

Similarly a person on Twitter having the same new baseband 5.1602 on iPone 3GS asked MuscleNerd about the Baseband Unlock.

@MuscleNerd what about people with 3GS firmware 4.3.1 and baseband 5.16.02? How long do we have to wait to unlock our devices :( i hope soon

@macOSxandiOS (because the downgrade from 06.15 goal is much higher priority than explicit 05.14,05.15, or 05.16 unlock. Achieves same.)

The Dev-Team doesn’t want to waste time on making the new Unlock for the basebands 5.14.02,5.15.02, and 5.16.02.

A fan who totally lost the hope for the baseband Downgrade of iPad baseband 6.15.00 asked MuscleNerd on Twitter:

@MuscleNerd it seems you guys have no interest in fixing gps issues with 6.15.00. Am I right??

@Kamiela2010 the downgrade potential from 06.15 remains (in my mind) 99% doable, but other things always seem to preempt working on it

If you ask us about the E.T.A for this thing, As we told before and we will say the same. It will come after iPhone 4 Unlock. So wait will be longer and those who didn’t updated to iPad baseband must not Update and they should wait for the further confirmation. They might be able to Downgrade from 5.16 and below.

Update:

We will soon get a downgrade tool from iPhone Dev Team, they have stated on the first ever jailbreak convention MyGreatFest that they will surely release the tool after the public release of iOS 5. iOS 5 is rumored to be launch around October’s 2nd week, ahead of iPhone 5 launch.
