Rest In Peace, Adobe’s Flash For Mobile Devices Killed

by Absar Abdul Rahman - on Nov 9th 2011 - No Comments

Two days back the flash and premier elemts were updated for Mac and Windows and each and every iDevice holder still was seeking for Adobe officially to kich flash in iDevices but everything turned wrongs for Apple and all the other mobile devices as one decision did it all.

Adobe, in there blog post claimed that they have to work more effevtively on the CSS of HTML 5 rather than running Flash on all the devices and the Adobe AIR will stay alive by being pushed to various app stores of Google, Apple, Microsoft and RIM which will act as all in one package of Adobe for mobile devices. They will push bug fixes for the older devices. Danny Winokur, General Manger & Vice President of Adobe said in the blog post that

However, HTML5 is now universally supported on major mobile devices, in some cases exclusively.  This makes HTML5 the best solution for creating and deploying content in the browser across mobile platforms. We are excited about this, and will continue our work with key players in the HTML community, including Google, Apple, Microsoft and RIM, to drive HTML5 innovation they can use to advance their mobile browsers.

Our future work with Flash on mobile devices will be focused on enabling Flash developers to package native apps with Adobe AIR for all the major app stores.  We will no longer continue to develop Flash Player in the browser to work with new mobile device configurations (chipset, browser, OS version, etc.) following the upcoming release of Flash Player 11.1 for Android and BlackBerry PlayBook.  We will of course continue to provide critical bug fixes and security updates for existing device configurations.  We will also allow our source code licensees to continue working on and release their own implementations.

They believe to work on HTML 5 instead of flash because the HTML 5 is the most increasing platform.

by Daudi - on Oct 18th 2011 - No Comments

Today Adobe released its PDF Reader for iOS in Apple App Store. This new PDF Reader makes it easy for the iOS users to interact with any PDF file on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. With this release of PDF Reader, you can view any kind of PDF File directly from your Mail, Safari and Websites. The files  including PDF Portfolios, password-protected PDF documents and Adobe LiveCycle rights-managed PDF files.

Adobe is a little late to the game with an app for the digital document standard it created in the early 90?s since dedicated PDF-viewing apps, like GoodReader,ReaddleDocs and others, have been available in the App Store for some time. However, it appears to be the only PDF-viewer currently in the App Store that supports files secured by Adobe LiveCycle Rights Management, a DRM protection scheme that’s part of a suite of enterprise-level products and services offered by the software company.

Below you can see the whole review of the App before you use it.
