Syria Government Bans iPhone, Steve Jobs Biological Father Joins Protest On YouTube

The government of the Syria has just ordered to stop using the popular smartphone “iPhone” from Apple, in order to stop activists on documenting and sharing government violence on the social networks or among the folks using the iPhone. According to their authorities, iPhone has been actively used by Syrian folks in capturing videos, pictures of the country violence. They issued a letter in the country to stop using the Apple’s iPhone in the country. We have seen numerous videos and pictures on the social network sites like Facebook, Twitter and video portal like YouTube.

In addition to the ban on iPhone use in Syria, the biological father of Steve Jobs, Abdulfattah John Jandali has also announced his joining with Syrian Sit-in movement on YouTube in solidarity with the Syrian people. The Syrian Sit-in movement is started among the activists from all over the world to document the government violence, and express their views with their demands for the Syrian people on YouTube.


I am in solidarity with the Syrian people. I reject the brutality and killing that the Syrian authorities are committing against the unarmed Syrian people. And because silence is participation in this crime, I declare my participation in the Syrian Sit-in on YouTube.
