Well Apple is not yet officially commented on the iOS 4 Location Tracking, but it was the most discussed topic of the last week and we got several analyses about this from several security searchers. But now we got some words from Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple.

iPhone 4 Tracking

As we remember, Steve Jobs is on the absence leave but apparently he respond to one of the MacRumors which asking him for the clarification on iOS 4, iPhone Location Tracking, as reported by MacRumors.

Q: Steve,
Could you please explain the necessity of the passive location-tracking tool embedded in my iPhone? It’s kind of unnerving knowing that my exact location is being recorded at all times. Maybe you could shed some light on this for me before I switch to a Droid. They don’t track me.

A: Oh yes they do. We don’t track anyone. The info circulating around is false.

Sent from my iPhone

Well this time authenticity of this email is can’t be verified yet, but if we believe that it was real, than Jobs has denied on the report of that Apple is tracking location of iOS 4 users.
