Most of the users who updated their iOS to latest version now seeking for jailbreak on the latest iOS but the jailbreak scene seem to be in the pipeline.

Apple released iOS 5 after seeding beta versions of the iOS 5 for more than four months to developers, as Apple mentioned on the press release of iOS 5, they have added around 200 new features to iOS and most of them are similar to the jailbreak tweaks. Such as we have reported on the arrival of first iOS 5 beta, where Apple announces that iOS 5 beta allow users to perform Wi-Fi Syncing.

Since Apple has released the first beta of iOS 5, we have seen numerous different tweaks for the iOS 5 and mostly of them targets the new iOS 5 Notification widget, everyone trying to come up with handier thing.  But still all of the tweak and packages are not available for all of the public due to the limitation in iOS 5 jailbreak, the current states of the iOS 5 jailbreak is bit confusing for large number of users.

Can We Jailbreak iOS 5 ?
Well yes or no. Most of the devices are compatible with the current available iOS 5 jailbreak such as Redsn0w and Sn0wbreeze both of the tools can jailbreak iOS 5 on iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, Original iPad and the iPod Touch. But the iPad 2 & iPhone 4S users are not much lucky to get the jailbreak yet. Because both of the devices have A5 processors which need new type of exploit for jailbreaking the device.

How To Jailbreak iOS 5 ?
So if you are one of those lucky who has the compatible iOS device like the iPhone 4, there are couples of way available to jailbreak your device. All you have to do is the compatible iOS device except the iPad 2 and iPhone 4S, and requires a PC or Mac to run the jailbreak tool for performing the jailbreak and installing Cydia on your iPhone or iPad.  But we will suggest to avoid the iOS 5 jailbreak at this time because the current jailbreak is only limited to tethered boot means you have to connect your device with computer on every boot.

But if you still wants to jailbreak iOS 5 on iPhone 4/3Gs, iPod Touch and Original iPod Touch, you can heads up to our jailbreaking section or could go with the below mentioned links:

Is it Worth it to Jailbreak iOS 5?
As we mentioned above, the current iOS 5 jailbreak is currently in the tethered boot which means you have perform the jailbreak again on every boot of the device, in directly your device will be depended on the computer. Every time you restart your device, you need to kick it out from boot loop by connecting it with the computer. It’s also worth noting that some folks have found the iOS 5 jailbreak to be a bit buggy.

So, if you do not depend on your device, then you can go for the iOS 5 jailbreak. The good news is most of the popular jailbreak tweaks are already upgraded to next version with new features and with the compatibility of the iOS 5. With iOS 5 jailbreak you could modify the iOS 5 notification center according to your need and can take full advantage of its widget layout.

iPad 2 iOS 5 Jailbreak On another report, we have reported you in September during the JailbreakCon that the members of Chronic Dev Team had announced that they have discovered multiple jailbreak exploits to perform untethered jailbreak on all iOS devices including iPad 2 and iPhone 4S. In addition to it, i0n1c who is responsible for the iOS 4.3.1 untether also announces on twitter that the iOS 5 untethered jailbreak was “covered” and suggesting that he know the persons who’s currently working on the iOS 5 untethered jailbreak for all iOS devices.

Is iOS 5 Untethered Jailbreak Comes Up For iPad 2 & iPhone 4S:
It’s still not confirm to claim whether the jailbreak is coming for iPad 2 & iPhone 4S users or not, but we can expect the jailbreak for all the devices because jailbreak hackers announced couple of times in the past that they will release iOS 5 jailbreak for all devices.

Update 1:

It appears that iPhone Dev Team has started their real work on the two new devices for the jailbreak, today they have published couple of screenshots of iPhone 4S, interestingly the device was running Cydia on it with all functionality. Similarly they have also uploaded video on YouTube Channel showing iPad 2 running jailbroken iOS 5 with Cydia on it. The iPhone Dev Team announced the jailbreak is currently in preliminary stage and requires a lot of work. They have not announced any ETA for the iOS 5 Untethered Jailbreak Release.

Update 2:

As we have reported yesterday, Apple has seeded the beta update of iOS 5.0.1 to developers that includes numerous bug fixes along with new security measures on the core of iOS 5. Apple has highlighted that iOS 5.0.1 fixes iPhone 4S/iOS 5 battery issue, as well as adds security in iOS. So according to our knowledge the new iOS 5.0.1 beta may late the iOS 5 untethered jailbreak, because the iPhone hackers clearly said they will release jailbreak once Apple finishes its buggy updates to iOS 5. So from now, we have to again lose our hope for sometime.

Update 3:

Chronic Developers team, @pod2g showed up his iPod touch third generation iDevice running an iOS 5 untethered jailbreak which could probably be a final call. The greenpois0n could be the tool to jailbreak iOS 5 with a stable position. Few weeks back the Chronic dev team released a tool which used to grab all the international information of the device running iOS 5, collect all the bugs around and they have shown there work up now. Well all and on, below is the video
