We have seen a significant rise in the rumors coming out from the MacBook Pro rumor mills, continuously hinting on the upcoming slimmer MacBook Pro models for this year, just ahead of the launch of Intel’s Ivy Bridge chips, which are rumored to be featuring by the new-generation MacBook Pros, including a complete redesign from the Apple. By adding more words to their older claims, Digitimes now reported today that their sources confirmed that the new upcoming slimmer MacBook Pro models just entered in the production phase, and the new redesigned MacBook Pro will remain distinct from the entire Macbook Air line.

It is reported by the sources in the last couple of months that Apple is preparing to introduce new Air-like slimmer design to its 13-inch and 15-inch Macbook Pro models this year, while the 17-inch MacBook Pros will carry the same older designs. The new MacBook Pro are listed as they are going to lose the built-in optical drives from their boards to trim down the actual design of the new MacBook Pro series, and includes some more advanced specs than seen in the older MacBook Pro / MacBook Ai models.

The new report from the Asian market watch-dog carries the same report, but a massive change in the availability of the upcoming rumored devices. According to their newer claims, the new MacBook Pro models just entered in the production scale to be ready for the quick and proper launch of the MacBook Pros this year on new device launch.  It’s been a year ago; we have been continuously hearing the same rumors from the Asian market watcher DigiTimes on the upcoming device, but have not seen any solid proof regarding the upcoming device. However, an interesting point in the report is that the new slimmer design is only coming in the 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pro models, at least not in the 17-inch MacBook Pro model for now.
