Samsung Is Dependent On Stanley Kubrick’s 2001 To Win Patents War Against Apple

The fight against Patents are going on between Apple and Samsung. This fight increased so much that Samsung went to court and asked them to ban iPhone,iPod, and iPad.Then in return Apple went to court and filed a lawsuit against Samsung and they are trying hard to block Samsung sales of Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Europe.

Samsung is in search for witnesses to prove that they didn’t copied the design of the iPads. Florian Mueller at FOSS reports that the latest Lawsuit file against Apple suggests that injunction cite Kubrick’s 1969 sci-fi masterpiece 2001: A Space Odyssey as prior art.

The picture above is not for fun. This is the picture given out by Samsung to prove that Apple has no right over the design of the tablets. These are two men reading news on a Tablet while doing breakfast in a sci-fi movie.

Samsung Lawyers say:

As with the design claimed by the D’889 Patent, the tablet disclosed in the clip has an overall rectangular shape with a dominant display screen, narrow borders, a predominately flat front surface, a flat back surface (which is evident because the tablets are lying flat on the table’s surface), and a thin form factor.

Looks like Samsung is on the loose and can’t get any one to prove they are looking for the old Sci-Fi movies.
