Samsung And Google Postponed Its Mobile Event In Respect For Steve Jobs

Google and Samsung were planning to unveil its jointly made Device. The device they planned to announce is based on Ice Cream Sandwich. The phone was planned for the next Samsung Unpacked event which was said to be held on Tuesday, 11th of October.

Apple made its move by launching its iPhone 4S this year. Samsung and Google were almost ready to make its move and to compete against Apple, but unfortunately on Wednesday, the EX- CEO of Apple, Steve Jobs passed away and left the whole world in deep shock and mourn.

No doubt Steve Jobs was an icon in the technology industry and he totally changed the way people used to live and use their mobile phones. When he introduced his first iDevice, it was a very big success and at the end of day his creations made its way to one of the well known and best selling devices.

Due to high respect for Steve Jobs, Samsung and Google postponed its event to an unspecific date. The reason they told was that it was not a good time to hold an Event, when the whole world is in Mourn for Steve Jobs death. The companies decided to held its event at Sandiego.

This news was confirmed by Allthingsd:

“Samsung and Google have decided to postpone the Samsung Mobile Unpacked event during the CTIA in San Diego, previously scheduled for Oct. 11,” Samsung said in a statement. “Under the current circumstances, both parties have agreed that this is not the appropriate time for the announcement of a new product.”

The event was to be held by Samsung and Google’s Andy Rubin had been scheduled to Speak.

“We believe this is not the right time to announce a new product as the world expresses tribute to Steve Jobs’s passing,” the companies said.

Where as Apple is not stopping the launch of iPhone 4S. The pre-orders have started and the launch is scheduled for October 14th. The company should not stop working because in a statement by Steve Jobs on his resign stated that:

I believe Apple’s brightest and most innovative days are ahead of it.
