Many rumors and reports were claiming that a new iPhone will be shown up at WWDC (Worldwide Develoepr Confrence) which is to be held on June 6th 2011. Previously there were some reports claiming that Apple might be working on iPhone 5 secretly. Although the past history shows that Apple has released new iPhones on it’s WWDC.
According to a macrumors reader, revived a word from an AT&T customer representative that Apple has officially told AT&T that there would be no new iPhone released this June-July.
The disclosure came after the reader noticed that his eligibility date for a subsidized upgrade had been pushed back by over five months and contacted AT&T to inquire about the reason for the change. As part of a response outlining AT&T’s criteria for determining upgrade eligibility dates, the agent reportedly offered the following statement as fact:
Apple has informed us that they do not plan to release the iPhone in the June to July timeframe, though there will be a newer version in the future. Unfortunately, we have not been given a release time for the new phone. We will release this information on our website when it is available to us.
Nothing can be said on whether the words said are true or not. But recently Apple is Field Testing iOS 5, Some Devs got the crash report of it. So it is confirmed that Apple will show of iOS 5 this Summer.
