Day after day, we are hearing more news about the latest iOS untethered jailbreak for the iPhone and iPad devices, and especially for the new-generation A5 and A5X processor devices, the iPhone 4S / iPad 2 / and the new iPad. The old-generation devices are already pwned permanently by old-age, limera1n exploit for all iOS devices, and Apple can’t patch these devices completely for the jailbreak scene, but can only cover the untethered jailbreak vulnerability on the older generation devices with new bootrom.
However, the new-generation devices are still under the control of Apple, and can be easily patched by a single iOS update to these devices, and mostly users update their devices without learning the pro and cons of these updates, and then lose their jailbreak status permanently. Therefore, the iPhone Jailbreak hackers, always do research on the iOS and discover the new type of exploits to jailbreak iPhone and iPad devices on different platforms. These days, Apple released the iOS 5.1 for the iPhone and iPad devices, and a large number of users quickly updated to the latest iOS 5.1 without even thinking about their jailbreak status, and now bound on the new iOS firmware version.
Pod2g, the member of Chronic DevTeam reportedly is involved in discovering new exploit for the iOS 5.1 untethered jailbreak, and all other jailbreak community hackers are supporting his efforts in achieving goals against the iOS security for Jailbreakers. The hacker has just announced a moment ago that he discovered some more deep-end exploits in the iOS. The new exploits definitely allow hackers to pwn the new A5 & A5X devices permanently, similar to the iPhone 4 / iPhone 3GS devices.
According to the announcement of Pod2g over his official Twitter profile, he discovered two new exploits (i) Kernel Land, (ii) Root Land; the exploit is appeared to be some heavy kind of vulnerabilities in Apple’s latest processors technology, and there is already a lot of questions about the release of iOS 5.1 Untethered Jailbreak for iPhone 4S / iPad 2 / new iPad. Well, at the moment we are also not sure when the iOS 5.1 untethered jailbreak will make it a way to market.
