iPhone Dev team has just released an update to their Redsn0w 0.9.8 tool, releases beta 6 version of the tool to provide jailbreak on iOS 5 beta 6 with tethered boot, as we all know last week Apple has released iOS 5 beta 6 to developers, but there are a lot of many simple users who also running beta versions of iOS 5 and want to jailbreak their device on the latest version. iH8Sn0w has also released the update of its Sn0wbreeze tool for windows, to provide jailbreak on the iOS 5 beta 6 on iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPad and iPod touch almost for all iOS devices except iPad 2. We have also reported that Apple is now distributing their iOS beta versions through OTA updates, but along with OTA update they are also providing the complete iPSW files of iOS 5 for devices. To jailbreak your device with any jailbreak tool you have to download the complete iPSW file of the required beta. This time we are talking about the iOS 5 beta 6, so you have to download the iOS 5 beta 6 iPSW for your device, on your machine.
Update #6: We’ve released redsn0w 0.9.8b6 to jailbreak iOS5 beta6 (point it directly at the beta6 IPSW). Two important notes about this version: (1) Please let your device boot normally to IOS5b6 and do a clean shutdown (slide to power off) before jailbreaking. (2) Boot logos have intentionally been disabled for now, so you’ll see a black screen on tethered boots (you can re-enable logos or verbose boot with command-line options if you really want them back).
iPhone dev team has released beta 6 version of Redsn0w 0.9.8 to jailbreak iOS 5 beta 6 on all devices, but in this beta they have also released some instruction notes, which helps you in performing jailbreak. They have changed the procedure of jailbreaking little bit, so we recommend you to read their instructions carefully, before performing jailbreak. To download iOS 5 beta 6 files, use search bar on the website. We have uploaded all of the iPSW files to the remote server.
