Apple is planning to make 2011 the most memorable year for the users and for its self. Apple got a lot of stuff planned for this year. After few months they are going to unveil the next generation iPhone and iPad+. This sounds cool. but Apple didn’t forgot it’s iPod users though.
Apple is also planning to make an update to iPod with some major improvements. The improvements which were revealed by a Dutch blog states that:
This will be as his work as the iPhone, where you have a 3G subscription from your ISP, then the SIM card into your iPod Touch key. The choice to add to 3G iPod Touch lineup is not even a very bad idea from Apple, it was obviously true. The only question is how this is received by the telecom farmers, since the use of Skype then will shoot up considerably.
According the blog the next generation iPod which will be iPod 5 will carry the support for 3G, like iPad and iPad 2 got the support for 3G networks. The main purpose to add 3G is to give kids and people who use iPod to listen music, see videos and do browsing and e.t.c a benefit that they can view things in offline mode, like without WIFI.
Above is the Google translation and now the proper one done by a user of 9t05mac posted:
It will work just like the iPad; you get a 3G enabled simcard from your provider and put that in you iPod Touch. Apple’s choice of bringing 3G to the iPod Touch isn’t all that weird, if it’s true of course. Question remains how the providers will react to this, since the use of for example Skype will skyrocket.
This is just a rumor for now and we cannot provide you with any justification from Apple or any reliable blog. We are still confirming this news. As soon as we get it confirm we will update you.
