A lot of people were left disappointed at the WWDC, where they were expecting some leads over the announcement over the new Apple iPhone 5, which is simply the most anticipated product this year. However, reports have been coming out that Apple might just cover for the WWDC event by a mega event by September end. The event , which is being now tagged as the “crowded event”, might not only see the unveil of the sixth generation iPhone but also along with it the much rumored iPad “mini” might also be made public during the same event. Also, there is a likelihood of a new Apple TV being launched around the same time.
According to Macotakara, the Japanese resource for pre-production news, the iPhone 5 is now on its way. The resource had successfully predicted the launch of iPhone 4S in October of 2011. Macotakara has been citing its sources in China. As compared to this, Mashable in its report had even mentioned that the Chinese ecommerce site Taobao, which is a popular and reputable resource, had already started taking pre-orders for the much anticipated iPhone 5.
It will be interesting to see if Apple does go ahead with launching of two major devices at the same time, iPad mini and iPhone 5. Much like the iPhone 5, iPad mini has also been in much focus, as it will be Apple’s answer to the smaller and less expensive tablets in the Android market. iPad mini could simply threaten their existence, by means of the launch of a 16GB, 7.3 inch iPad at just $299. Apple will be looking to sell around 6 million devices in this holiday season.
