Let me rewind the iPad 3 story a bit, as the new report comes from the reliable source, which has proven itself in the past with Apple iOS device rumor claims, the Japanese blog Macotakara. The blog has updated the world its source claim that Apple’s iOS devices manufacture partners has just started assembling the iPad 3, both Pegatron and Foxconn. The upcoming iOS device is said to be getting a Retina Display from Sharp, and scheduled to launch in early March this year.
Japanese blog Macotakara has proven itself with accurate reports in the past regarding iOS devices, and this time citing with an unknown Chinese source claimed that both Foxconn Electronics and Pegatron Technology have now received orders from Apple to start production, and the device is scheduled to launch in early March. According to the report from the source, the new device will not carry any identical change from iPad 2, and there will be only internal changes like iLounge editor claimed yesterday, to have a hands-on with back-shell of iPad 3.
Chinese sources also reportedly told Japanese blog that the new device will get the same design as iPad 2 carries, there will be no button configuration change, as well as the new device will carry the same connector, camera position, but the overall look of the device will be slightly thicker than iPad 2, as the device is said to boast the Retina Display from Sharp.
It also appears from the report that Apple will change the magnet position in iPad 3 from iPad 2, which supports the Smart Cover, and therefore, few older accessories may not work like who depends on that magnet position. In a different report, we have learned that Apple is only bumping the internal speed of the device like they have done with iPhone series last year with the launch of iPhone 4S, and the new device will be called as iPad HD or iPad 2S.
