As you all know Apple is around the corner with iOS 5 public release, and with iPhone 5. Same like Apple, our most active jailbreak developer community is also in the work to produce iOS 5 untethered jailbreak right after the release of iOS 5 public release. If you do remember, Chronic Dev Team head P0sixninja had announced two months back that he will do live jailbreaking on iPhone at the MyGreatFest event, the first ever jailbreaking convention among the all jailbreakers. As the event scheduled to kick today, and the jailbreak live event also planned for today but didn’t happen because Apple has not released the final version of iOS 5 and jailbreak developer team has announced back that they will only release jailbreak when Apple finishes its work with iOS 5. We have got some more insights about the iOS 5 Untethered Jailbreak, on the event someone asked @pod2g the key member of jailbreaking team about the iOS 5 jailbreak, he revealed that the Chronic Dev team is actively working on the iOS 5 untethered jailbreak.
If you are following us our every article, then you must have acknowledged about the current goings on, the dev team has not leave us in the dark in the meantime. With every iOS 5 beta release they were also releasing the jailbreak for that beta of iOS 5, but that jailbreak was only the so called “tethered jailbreaks” on which you have to plug your device with computer on every boot of your device. From the talks of @pod2g, we can easily assume that the dev team will release jailbreak right after the launch of iPhone 5 or iOS 5, but at this time they didn’t announce any specific date.
