While we are all losing our patience to get the Apple’s iOS 5, its been reported by the source that Apple’s iOS devices assemblers going to get the Gold Master build of iOS 5 on September 23, as the report comes to us from the analyst, the report has some weighs, because the date is setting down with long rumored launch date of iPhone 5 (mid-October). According to the detail report of analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the iPhone and iPod Touch assemblers are lined up by Apple to receive GM build of iOS 5 in the week of September 23. We have heard a similar case in last week, where it had reported that Apple has seeded two types of iOS 5 beta builds, a special build (near final) build seeded to carrier’s lab for new features testing and also to fix down the most rising issues in the iOS 5. The report of Kuo also mentions about the iPhone 5 launch, according to him once the assemblers get hands on the iOS 5 GM they will start installing on the iPhone 5 and the process will be done with in 10 to 12 days.
A release of iOS 5 to assemblers the week of Sept. 23 means its likely finalized hardware units for the new iPhone and iPod touch will begin to ship at the end of September. With an estimated 10 to 12 days for shipping, the two new devices are likely to be available by mid-October, Kuo said.
Kuo also comes up with an interesting point with his report, according to his supply checks, there is no chance of redesign iPhone 5, as he believes there will be an iPhone 4S with an only a speed bump, rather than any major overall design change of device. He noticed that iPhone 4S will only get A5 processor, as many has revealed it in iOS 5 SDK as “N94”.
