Steps to Follow:

Here is a quick and simple guide on jailbreak iOS 5.1.1 compatible devices using Redsn0w 0.9.14b2 and a Mac running on Mountain Lion.

Step 1: First of all you need to download the redsn0w 0.9.14b2 from the official site of iPhone dev team. Once that is done, you need to unzip the contents of the compressed folder into a familiar location.

Step 2: For running the Redsn0w tool for the first time on OS X Mountain Lion, you will be needing to bypass the new security feature by Ctrl-Click on the icon and then selecting the “Open” option from the ‘ New ‘ Menu.

Step 3: Having the relevant device connected using a supplied USB cable, you need to ensure that the correct device is being displayed before you select the Jailbreak button using the redsn0w interface.

Step 4: Now just follow the instructions that appear on your screen for placing the device in the DFU mode and then allow the redsn0w tool to complete the process. Now install Cydia.

Once the installation is complete, you can run the software.
