How-To: Downgrade From iOS 5b1 to iOS 4.3.3 on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch

Are you one of those who luckily got access on iOS 5b1 and quickly update to it without thinking anything and now want to come back on the previous stable version, than there is a solution for you. Step 1: The first step is really simple; all you need to do is enter your device into DFU mode, not recovery mode.

  • Press and hold the sleep button for 2 seconds
  • Continue holding sleep; press and hold home for 10 seconds.
  • Release sleep button; continue holding home for 15 seconds.

Step 2: Once you have done with DFU Mode, launch the iTunes 10.3.1 on your machine and hold SHIFT and click on Restore for Windows and for Mac OS X hold ALT and click Restore.

Now it will ask you to point the downloaded iOS firmware file, simply click on the iOS 4.3.3 file.

Step 3: Now move to the file, select it, and confirm by clicking on ‘Restore and Update’ that you are willing to downgrade your device.
