Sn0wbreeze 2.9.3 Released With Bug Fixes, To Jailbreak Apple TV On iOS 5.1

Just a couple of days ago, we have reported you the iOS hacker behind the popular jailbreaking tool Sn0wbreeze has released the upgraded version of the Sn0wbreeze v2.9.2 in the public with the support of tethered iOS 5.1 Jailbreak for the older generation devices, means you can jailbreak iOS 5.1 On iPhone 4 / 3GS with Sn0wbreeze on Windows. As I have mentioned before, the jailbreak tool only contains the tethered support and doesn’t support any latest device, so I would like to clear you, please don’t try the latest tool to jailbreak your iPhone 4S / iPad 2 with it on iOS 5.1 because there is no method to jailbreak any of the latest device, and therefore, the Pod2g asked iOS jailbreakers to submit their crash reports to him so the DreamTeam can search for the exploit in iOS 5.1.

However, in the meantime iH8Sn0w released another update to its Sn0wbreeze tool with some general bug fixes and the couple of other things in the jailbreak that causes different problems to the users on iOS 5.1. iH8Sn0w released Sn0wbreeze 2.9.3 in the public, and releases its complete changelog on its website targeting the most known problems of the jailbreak tool, and points the fixes:

sn0wbreeze v2.9.3.

What is New?

  • Added Apple TV 2 support for iOS 4.4.3/4.4.4.
  • Fixed rare issues with iOS 5.0.1 where it would halt on the Apple upon boot.

Just adding this in mainly for users who dumped their SHSH blobs. On the initial boot, the Apple TV may have a black screen for 60 seconds after setting up the Apple TV. This is normal.”

iH8Snow announces that the new Sn0wbreeze 2.9.3 could also be used to jailbreak the Apple TV on the new iOS 5.1 using its tool, and custom cooked jailbroken iOS 5.1 version. The new version of the tool also fixes the loop hole problem that causes to a number of users on iOS 5.1 while jailbreaking their device. The users reported that their devices stuck on Apple boot logo while jailbreaking with Sn0wbreeze 2.9.2, but now the problem is reportedly solved in the updated version of Sn0wbreeze 2.9.3
