With some good news regarding iOS 4.3.x untethered jailbreak there is also a bad news for iPad 2 owners, who are waiting for the untethered jailbreak solution from Comex. A series of tweets by Comex from his official twitter account confirming that his founded userland exploit which was showed off, some days ago has sadly patched by the Apple in iOS 4.3.1.
Comex on his Twitter account:
yeah, uh. I can find kernel exploits, but this is ridiculous.
As noticed by @0naj, my kernel exploit was fixed in 4.3.1.
I try not to be paranoid, but it is really hard to explain this as anything but a leak.
It stayed there from 4.0.2 through 4.3, but was magically found in time for 4.3.1. well, go go @MuscleNerd and @i0n1c I guess
Comex also points out that the new kernel exploit which will used to jailbreak the iPad 2 is the old exploit which used in JailbreakMe 2.0 but didn’t properly patched by Apple in iOS update.
Guys don’t lose your hope, there is also a untethered jailbreak exploit is under work by the Stefan Esser, who is the only who has the untethered jailbreak solution for iOS 4.3.1 on all iOS devices but sadly except iPad 2. [Twitter: 1,2,3,4]
