The report comes from the Engagdet, who reports that they have received a tip from their sources that AT&T is going to unlock off-contract iPhone basebands for the loyal users, means now you would be finally able to use your iPhone with other carrier SIM’s, and also be able to use your AT&T powered iPhone worldwide with other carriers.

Some users have recently reported that they are able to get their iPhone unlock from the AT&T on contacting the Tim Cook office. However, now from Sunday, you guys will be able to unlock your iPhone  from AT&T officially be calling the AT&T customers helpline. The unlocked iPhone would be a great option for the users, as it allows users to put any carrier SIM on the iPhone and allow them to use internationally.
