Once again, we are here with the conclusion over the new model of MacBook Air, Digitimes reported earlier morning that Apple is all set to launch the new 15-inch ultra-thin MacBook Air, as the company is rumored to start the shipping of new MacBook Air components with mass shipments to follow the launch of the machine in March 2012.
Upstream suppliers of Apple have recently started shipping a small volume of components for a 15-inch ultra-thin notebook model from Apple in November and the device could be either MacBook Air or just a thinner MacBook Pro. The new MacBook is expected to appear as early as the second quarter of 2012, according to sources from the upstream supply chain.
While reporting about the component shipment’s availability, and the launch month of the device, the publication is unclear whether the parts are for the new MacBook Air 15-inch or for the thin 15-inch MacBook Pro. Apple has not updated the MacBook Pro’s with new design model this year. In the past, we have heard some news regarding the new ultrathin 15” machine that Apple has finished its work, and later in this quarter. It was reported that Apple has been pushing the new ultra-thin 15-inch MacBook into production scale.
We are not sure of the current moment, whether the new ultra-thin 15-inch Macbook is Air or Pro. It seems that a thin 15″ MacBook would use a SSD rather than HDD, similar to current MacBook Air models, and would forego an optical drive. The new ultra-thin MacBook is rumored for a long time.
