Things have started to change. Apple is totally dependent on Steve Jobs says Trip Hawkins. Trip Hawkins is the founder of the famous game company called Electronic Arts (EA). These days he is running Digital Chocolate which make games for different platforms including iOS.

Today Trip Hawkins said a statement in an interviews with industrygamers that:

“The thing is, it may take another year or two before [Apple] starts to decline, but it has to – everything does. Everything revolves so much around Steve, and no matter how good his lieutenants are, they’re not Steve. None of us is going to live forever, though I hope he lives for a really long time,”

What he says about Steve Jobs is some what true and his hopes are a bit wrong because hr forgot that Steve is suffering from bad health. Steve went for months on medical leave in past years.

He also added in the statement that the games of Digital Chocolate and EA will for ever stay in the App Store:

“Digital Chocolate’s games will always be in the App Store”

Hawkins also complained about the same thing for which users of iOS were complaining from the day they got their hands on the iDevice. The one and only Flash player. He also said that it would be good if Apple was more open and allowed developers to use Flash in their Apps.

“They’ve created this outlet and they had to have an excuse to keep you there, so they’re like, ‘Oh it’s nothing against Flash; we just prefer HTML5’. Well, Flash can actually make a really good game, and with HTML5 you can’t do that. But give HTML5 another few years to mature, and that could solve the problem. Or Apple could be more generous about deciding to support more de facto standards like Flash, or at least let it run its course,” said Hawkins.

We all agree with the statement above, but what Apple believes about Flash is that, if it opens Flash platform so their iDevice will be much less secure because hackers will use Flash platform to perform hacking. Apple is on to the substitute of Flash and thinking to convert flash into HTML 5.

So lets see in whose hands the future of Apple lies. What are your thought about it ?
