While following the beta release of iOS 5.0.1 to developers earlier this week, Apple has been now testing the iOS 5.0.1 with some end-users devices and advising them to notice the difference between the iOS 5 and the new firmware battery time. Apple has baked the iOS 5.0.1 with battery drainage issue fix and with some additional fixes to iPhone 4S Siri. Apple has already pushed the update to a very small number of users.
iOS 5 comes up with some critical bug issues that disturb the users, mostly, the iOS 5 battery lifetime was really less, and we have seen many users filled up the Apple’s support forum with the complaints. Apple has been seeding the iOS 5.0.1 to users through AppleSeed Program.
It appears that Apple has baked the iOS 5.0.1 beta with no downgrade option to iOS 5.0. Apple has warned the earlier testers that they cannot downgrade their device to iOS 5.0.1 anymore. But they will be allowed to upgrade to the final release of iOS 5 when it comes out in the next few weeks. The iOS 5.0.1 update also brings Siri improvements for Australian users, multitasking gestures to the first-generation iPad, and other bug fixes.
