Th day before Apple released iOS 5.0.1 to address battery issues on iDevices and especially for iPhone 4S users. After internally testing the iOS 5 beta 2, Apple planned to make it public. The update vowed to fix the battery drainage issues on iOS 5.o but all things went against the plan. The scenario went worse. A part from fixing the battery drainage issues, the update made the battery drain fast.
We reported the battery drainage problem on iOS 5.0.1 earlier today. The issue wasn’t clear till now that what is causing this battery drain. Either it’s an App, some feature, or what it can be. After the statement made by Apple to AllthingsD made it easier to understand that there are some issues remaining to be fixed by Apple.
The recent iOS software update addressed many of the battery issues that some customers experienced on their iOS 5 devices,” the company said in a statement. “We continue to investigate a few remaining issues.”
Any how Apple couldn’t succeed in fixing the Battery drainage issues, some how they succeeded to fix the Untethered Jailbreak hole in iOS 5.0.1 which was founded by Miller. Till now no other software update is promised by Apple to debut in near future. Apple will look into the issue and we hope that it shows up with a solution soon.
For those, who are planning to update to iOS 5 shouldn’t attempt to update or restore to iOS 5 from now on because Apple has stopped signing iOS 5 and is signing iOS 5.0.1. So avoid any sort of update to future firmwares and should wait for some mechanism to show up to solve the updating issues on iOS 5. In other words, wait for the Jailbreak and the SHSH grabbing tools to be updated, so they can save your SHSH blobs and Jailbreak your iDevice Untethered on iOS 5.
