An exclusive reports comes out from the WSJ suggests that some members of Apple board of directors are seeking for the replacement of the CEO Steve Jobs, and already in informal talks with executives of recruiting firms for the external hiring. The report clearly points that these discussions is started because Job has taken several long term medical leaves from the company in the past few years, one of the most recent leave was officially announced back in January right before the launch of White iPhone and iPad 2, but we have seen Steve Job on several launch events of the company.

WSJ noted in the report that these discussions among the Apple directors have taken seriously and they discuss the point in every routine meeting held privately in the every board meeting of Apple, it is also reported that they have met with at least one head of high profile tech company as a permanent replacement of Steve Jobs. The Wall Street Journal also noted that it wasn’t immediately clear if Steve Jobs was aware of the search or if Apple has been looking behind his back.
