Apple Allows Games Publisher To Offer Games On Subscription In App Store

Apple will now begin the rumored subscription model in the App Store, and will allow Game developers to offer their games title on monthly based subscription, a revenue and purchasing method was announced to digital publications with the launch of iOS 5 Newsstand. Bloomberg reports on the case that Big Fish Games will be the first game publisher who works with the Apple’s new monthly based subscription method, and offers all of their games titles on iPad for $6.99 a month.

Until now, before the introduction of this method, users only purchase the games for one time and download then many times from the App Store on their devices. However, now with the new system, a user who buys the Big Fish Subscription will be able to download and enjoy the different game’s title that games publication made available through the dedicated application, which tracks the record of your subscription and other things.

Big Fish Games to the iOS iPad users will be offered from the Big Fish data centers and will be only access on the Wi-Fi network, user has to connect its device with some Wi-Fi network to play the games, as well as Apple still earns 30% revenue from this subscription method from the game publication.

We have not heard any official words from Apple yet on the implementation of this subscription method in the App Store. We will keep you updated on this whenever we get any words on this subscription model.
