Twitter is the source of a lot of juicy gossips and of course, some real-time news. Android Boss of Google, Andy Rubin announced through Twitter that more than 500 million Android devices are being activated all across the world till now. Last week this figure was 480 million. Eric Schmidt made an announcement about this last week at Motorola event on 5th September in New York. This clearly indicates that around 20 million devices were being activated in just one week.
What does Rubin tweets?
Andy Rubin tweets that there are more than 500 million active Android devices in the whole world, which is pretty exciting and worth congratulating. Please notice that this figure is exclusive of the devices which are not available with mobile suite of Google such as Kindle Fire that makes use of the forked version of Android. So far this has been considered the successful tablet after iPad.
Perfect Tweet Timing!
The tweet timings from Google are just perfect when the world is awaiting iPhone 5 scheduled event to take place in merely less than one day from now. Rubin in such a case it seems is warming up because he and his team will surely be closely following the Apple’s iPhone 5 launch event. No doubt, Apple’s iPhone is the most popular smartphone in the world market, but popularity and position of Google Android smartphones in the worldwide market cannot be ignored either.
Applauses for the team
On such a tweet, the Rubin as well as his team would be celebrating the news! It is indeed worth celebrating, especially when the details come out just a day before iPhone 5’s launch event! From our team, we congratulate team Rubin and the folks for this applauded news! We expect more such news from Google in near future too.
