Apple has just released a new firmware update to its AirPort Base Station and Time Capsule to version 7.6.1. The new firmware updates include nothing much than the random bug fixes and the performance improvements with the recently launched iCloud service by Apple. Apple has stated the firmware update as just a performance and connectivity bug fix. In addition to the simple firmware updates. Apple has opened its door a quite big with its developers, and launched a new update to the AirPort Utility 6.0, a program that is being used to manage the AirPort Base Station and Time Capsule through iOS and Mac OS.

AirPort Utility 6.0 for Mac, iPhone and iPad carries bit major updates to its overall look, as the new update comes up with the iOS flavorish layout. The new AirPort Utility 6.0. for Mac OS X Lion is seemed to be bit like iOS AirPort Utility program now with this update. The new application updates only works with 802.11N Airports. With the launch of this new update to AirPort Utility 6.0 for OS X Lion, Apple clears that now they are looking forward to merge the Mac OS with iOS, as they have been started porting everything of Mac into iOS flavor.

Alongside, Apple has also released an update to AirPort Utility 5.6 for OS X Lion with the only support of 802.11G AirPort Stations. Apple has mentioned in the release notes that the new update fixes the old network password keychain problem, and other core improvements.
